Mars Hill finishes 11th at SAC Championships

The Mars Hill women's golf team placed 11th at the conclusion of the 2019 South Atlantic Conference Championships held on Tuesday.

HICKORY, N.C. - The Mars Hill women's golf team placed 11th at the conclusion of the 2019 South Atlantic Conference Championships held on Tuesday.

Janie Gooch ended the tournament as the top placing Lions, finishing 35th overall.  Gooch shot a combined 240 over the three rounds.  

Emilee Wenmoth and Marie Syvertsen finished 49th and 50th overall, respectively, at the end of the three-day tournament.  Wenmoth shot a combined 253 while Syvertsen shot 257 in the tournament.

Rounding out the Lions team were Jasmine Chesnut and Linnea Karlsson, who placed 54th and 55th, respectively.

The Lions shot a combined 1014 over the three days.
