Lions wrap up Florida road trip versus Lynn

BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Mars Hill women's lacrosse team (4-4) was defeated by a score of 19-9 on the road Monday evening versus Lynn (3-3).
The Fighting Knights carried a one-goal advantage heading into the second half. Controlling play, Lynn outscored the Lions 11-2, outshooting them 22-11 and collecting 20 groundballs. Delaney Popella, Cailyn Doyle, Erin Bodmer, and Isabella Clark each recorded two goals for the Fighting Knights.
The first half saw a tightly contested match between the two teams with a combined 15 goals scored. Lynn held a 4-1 advantage after three minutes of play and was able to stem off the Lions for the first 30 minutes, holding an 8-7 lead.
Both Kiersten Foust and Sydney Joyce scored two goals apiece for the Lions in the first half while Molly Tobias, Maria Fabrizio, and Christina Fabrizio each netted one.
Clark led all players with seven points (4g, 3a) follwed by Bodmer's four goals. Maria Fabrizio led the Lions with a goal and two assists.
Mars Hill returns home on Saturday, March 14 in South Atlantic Conference action versus Coker. First draw is scheduled for 4 p.m.
