Martin voted to Daktronics All-Region first team

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. − Mars Hill's Abby Martin was named to the 2010 Daktronics NCAA Division II All-Southeast Region Women's Soccer first team. Members of the first team are now eligible for All-America honors.

In 2010, Martin, from Greer, S.C., was voted to the All-South Atlantic Conference first team. She led the conference in goals (16), goals per game (0.94), game-winning goals (5), points (37) and points per game (2.18). Martin also set school records for most career goals (39) and points (92). Off the field, she won the SAC Scholar Athlete Award for the second year in a row and was named to the ESPN Academic All-District III first team.

The Daktronics NCAA Division II All-Southeast Region Teams are voted on by the sports information directors of the Southeast Region. The region is comprised of the Conference Carolinas, the Peach Belt Conference, and the South Atlantic Conference.

The team is sponsored by Daktronics, Inc., an acknowledged world leader in scoring, timing and programmable display systems for virtually every sport at every level of competition.

The All-America team will be released on December 1.
