Martin voted to NSCAA All-Region third team

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Mars Hill senior forward Abby Martin has been named to the 2010 National Soccer Coaches Association of America Division II All-Southeast Region third team, NSCAA officials announced today.

Last month, Martin was named to the 2010 Daktronics NCAA Division II All-Southeast Region Women's Soccer first team and All-South Atlantic Conference first team. She led the conference in goals (16), goals per game (0.94), game-winning goals (5), points (37) and points per game (2.18). Martin also set school records for most career goals (39) and points (92).

Off the field, Martin won the SAC Scholar Athlete Award for the second year in a row and was named to the ESPN Academic All-District III first team.

The NSCAA All-Region teams are voted on by the head coaches of each of the respective regions in Division II.
