Martin named to NSCAA Scholar All-Region team
MARS HILL, N.C. - Mars Hill's Abby Martin has been named to the 2010 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Women's College Scholar All-South Region third team.
In 2010, Martin was named to the CoSIDA ESPN Academic All-District first team for the College Division of District III. Martin, also the winner of the SAC Scholar Athlete Award, boasts a 3.91 GPA in Elementary Education
On the field, Martin was voted to the North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association (NCCSIA) College Division All-State women's soccer team, Daktronics All-Southeast Region first team and All-South Atlantic Conference first team. During the regular season, she led the conference in goals (16), goals per game (0.94), game-winning goals (5), points (37) and points per game (2.18). Set also school records for most career goals (39) and points (92).
