ROCK HILL, S.C. - Mars Hill College forward Caity Murnahan is this week's South Atlantic Conference women's soccer Player of the Week, league officials announced Wednesday afternoon. "I'm honored to win the player of the week," Murnahan said. "The only reason why I'm successful is because my teammates put me in a position to excel." Murnahan, a senior from Bloomfield Hills, Mich., recorded two goals and one assist as Mars Hill defeated Limestone 5-2 to improve to 1-0 on the season. The Lions blitzed the Saints for all five goals in the first 20 minutes of the game. With the win, Mars Hill snapped a four-game winless streak that dated back to the 2009 season. Mars Hill will travel to Lees-McRae tonight. The game will start at 7 p.m.
