CHARLOTTE, N.C.-- Mars Hill's women's soccer team fell to Queens, 5-0, in a South Atlantic Conference match Saturday afternoon at the Queens Sports Complex.

Three Royals recorded multi-point games. Kelli Gottry scored two goals. Caitlyn Rodrigues scored a goal and picked up two assists, while Ashley Osiecki added a goal and assist. Jessica Young picked up the shutout in net. Mars Hill falls to 2-9-2 overall and 1-6-1 in conference matches. Queens is now 9-3-2 overall and 4-2-2 in SAC matches.

Rodrigues assisted on both first half goals. Gottry scored 9:57 into the contest, while Brooke Foil scored in the 40th-minute.

Osiecki, Rodrigues and Gottry added second half goals for the final margin.

Maslyn Greene made 11 saves for MHU, while Tori Stajduhar made two saves.

Mars Hill returns to action this Wednesday, Oct. 23 against Carson-Newman. The Lions will be hosting "Pink Week" to show support for breast cancer awareness and research.
