Morris Named Honorable Mention All-Conference

ROCK HILL, S.C.—The 2013 All-South Atlantic Conference Women's Soccer Team was released Wednesday, with Mars Hill's Alyssa Morris earning Honorable Mention All-SAC honors.

This is the second all-conference honor for Morris in her Lion career. The midfielder earned Second-Team All-SAC honors a year ago. The senior scored three goals and dished out one assist in 14 matches this season, including a two-goal effort in the Senior Night victory over Brevard. She concluded her MHU career with 10 goals and 12 assists, and led the SAC in assists during the 2012 season. Mars Hill finished the season 4-11-2.

For the second-consecutive season, Wingate's Jade Montgomery earned SAC Women's Soccer Player of the Year honors. She led the conference with 13 goals, nine assists and 35 points.

Caitlyn Rodrigues of Queens earned Freshman of the Year honors after scoring seven goals and notching five assists. Cally Morrill of Lenoir-Rhyne was named Coach of the Year after guiding the Bears to the regular-season title.
