JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – The Lions' women's soccer team lost on the road at Carson-Newman by a score of 8-0 at McCown Field. Mars Hill fell to 0-5-1 overall and 0-3 in the South Atlantic Conference. The Eagles improved to 6-1 on the season and 2-0 in the league.
The Eagles scored four goals in each half of play. Julianne Herrity and Hannah Henry scored two goals apiece to lead the Eagles in the contest. Jacqueline Burns played all 90 minutes in goal for C-N to obtain the win in goal for C-N. Kaitlyn Danglemaier suffered the loss in the net for the Lions.
Mars Hill will play at SAC foe Brevard on Saturday, September 24. Match time is slated for 4:30 p.m.
