CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Mars Hill women's soccer team (1-12-1, 1-7 SAC) was shutout by a score of 3-0 to Queens (10-5-1, 4-4 SAC) Saturday afternoon on the road.
Queens wasted no time getting on the scoreboard as Emma Rose Stockton scored just 15 seconds into the game. Stockton later added her second of the game in the 88th minute to put the Royals up 3-0.
Sandwiched between Stockton's two goals was Nia Gaither's tally in the 83rd minute.
Fanny Gustavsson launched the only Mars Hill shot on goal on the afternoon. Samantha Pyle and Sanne Martinsen also recorded shot attempts.
The Lions conclude the 2019 home schedule on Friday, November 1 when they host the Pioneers of Tusculum. The Senior Day contest is slated for a 5 p.m. start.
