The Mars Hill women’s soccer team  (1-7-1, 0-4-1 SAC)  faced off against Lenoir-Rhyne (8-0-3, 5-0-1 SAC) Wednesday evening, ultimately falling 3-0.

MARS HILL, N.C. - The Mars Hill women's soccer team  (1-7-1, 0-4-1 SAC)  faced off against Lenoir-Rhyne (8-0-3, 5-0-1 SAC) Wednesday evening, ultimately falling 3-0. 

Lenoir-Rhyne opened the scoring in the 14th minute when Emerson Talley found the back of the net, assisted by Evan O'Leary. Mars Hill fought back, creating several opportunities, but were unable to convert. Notable attempts came from Carla Humera, whose shot was saved by Bears' goalkeeper Riley Miller.
 
The second half saw Lenoir-Rhyne extend their lead, with Ava Hartman scoring in the 81st minute, assisted by Nicole Auger. Kennedy Flowers capped off the scoring in the 86th minute, securing the victory for the Bears.
 
Mars Hill's goalkeeper, Camryn Miller made five key saves that kept the Lions competitive. Carla Humera was a standout in the attack, leading her team with three shots, while Saga Karlsson Rowa showed versatility on both ends of the pitch, adding a shot on target. 

Mars Hill turns their attention to Lincoln Memorial, set to face off at home at Meares Stadium this Sunday, October 20. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m.
