Women’s Swimming Defeats Warren Wilson

MARS HILL, N.C. - The Lions' women's swimming team won their final regular season home meet against Warren Wilson in impressive style. They defeated the Owls, 137-88 Saturday afternoon in Harrell Pool. Mars Hill finishes the 2010-11 regular season with a record of 10-4 in dual meets.

Five Lions led MHC in their last home meet. Swimmers who won events were Katy Sorrells (100 fly, 100 breast, 400 IM); Nicole Day (100 back, 200 back, 200 IM) Megan Bartlett, Lena Palo and Taylor Bugg.

The Lions will conclude the 2010-11 campaign in the Appalachian Swimming Conference Championships on February 18. The event will be held in Athens, Ohio.
