Lions Swim to Win Over Warren Wilson, Fall to Lenoir-Rhyne
HICKORY, N.C.-- Mars Hill's women's swim team defeated Warren Wilson and fell short against Lenoir-Rhyne Friday evening at Lenoir-Rhyne University Pool.
HICKORY, N.C.-- Mars Hill's women's swim team defeated Warren Wilson and fell short against Lenoir-Rhyne Friday evening at Lenoir-Rhyne University Pool.
The Lions earned a decisive 180-64 victory over Warren Wilson, but came up short against Lenoir-Rhyne by a 175-79 final. Maggie Mills led MHU individually with a first-place finish in the 50 Free. The team produced seven second-place finishes, including the 400 Medley Relay team. Mars Hill is now 1-2 in dual meets this season.

Mills swam a time of 25.88 to win the 50 Free. She added second-place finishes in both the 100 Free and 200 Free.
The 400 Medley Relay team finished in 4:24.61 to place second. The team was made up of Erin Cregan, Lauren Davis, Rachel Louviaux and Mills. Louviaux added a second-place finish in the 200 IM and a third-place finish in the 100 Fly.
Elle Grier continued Mars Hill's strong performance in Free events with second-place finishes in the 500 and 1000 Free. She added a second-place finish in the 200 Fly.
Emma Duffy added a third-place finish in the 500 and 1000 Free. Cregan placed third in the 100 Back and 200 Back, while Davis placed third in the 200 Breast.
Mars Hill will swim a dual meet against Milligan this Friday, Oct. 18 at 7:00 p.m.
