Mars Hill’s swim teams competed in the Igloo Invite hosted by Sewanee College. The Lions had several impressive performances.

SEWANEE, Tenn. – Mars Hill's swim teams competed in the Igloo Invite hosted by Sewanee College. The Lions had several impressive performances.

The men had 11 first place finishes. The Lions relay teams placed first in the 200 medley, 400 medley, 200 free, and 400 free. Trey Mason won the 500 free while Mladen Senicar won the 100 breast. Salvatore Russo placed first in the 200 back, 100 back and 100 fly. Drew Rosser won the 50 free and Justin Gale rounded out the winners placing first in the 1,650 free.

On the women's side, Maggie Mills won the 100 free.

The Lions will return to action after the Holiday break when they host Pfeiffer University on January 11. The meet is schedule to begin at 2 p.m.
