Women's Swimming Opens Season at N.C. State Invitational

The Mars Hill women’s swimming team began the 2014-15 season in the N.C. State Invitational on Friday afternoon at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.

GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Mars Hill women's swimming team began the 2014-15 season in the N.C. State Invitational on Friday afternoon at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.

The 200 Freestyle Relay squad of Abby Harty, Elle Grier, Rachel Louviaux and Maggie Norton finished in 1:46.84. The same quartet competed in the 400 Medley Relay, finishing with a season-opening time of 4:24.23 Harty had a solid debut for the Lions, finishing in 20^th in the 500 Yard Freestyle in 5:22.27. Grier and Emma Duffy also competed in the 500 Freestyle. Louviaux was the lone Lion to swim in the 50 Freestyle, finishing the sprint race in 27.21 seconds. As a team, Mars Hill sits in 10^th place

The N.C. State Invitational will resume tomorrow morning.
