Harty Earns ASC Women's Swimmer of the Week Honors

Freshman Abby Harty was named the Appalachian Swimming Conference Women’s Swimmer of the Week for the second time this season.

SOUTH EUCLID, OHIO- Freshman Abby Harty was named the Appalachian Swimming Conference Women's Swimmer of the Week for the second time this season, league officials announced today. Hart also won the weekly honor on October 8.

Harty set new school records in the 200 Individual Medley with a mark of 2:14.49 and the 100 Breaststroke in 1:09.85. Her split time swimming the Breaststroke leg of the winning 200 Medley Relay (1:58.56) was 31.22. Her current conference ranks are the following: 50 Freestyle (15^th), 100 Freestyle (9^th), 200 Freestyle (3^rd), 500 Freestyle (3^rd), 100 Breaststroke (1^st), and the 200 IM (1^st).

Harty and her teammates will compete in a double-duel meet Friday against Union College and host Milligan at 4 p.m.
