Harty Named ASC Women's Swimmer of the Week
Abby Harty has been named the Appalachian Swimming Conference Women’s Swimmer of the Week for the fourth time this season.
SOUTH EUCLID, OHIO- Freshman Abby Harty has been named the Appalachian Swimming Conference Women's Swimmer of the Week for the fifth time this season, league officials announced this morning.
Harty claimed two individual wins in a dual meet loss at Catawba on Saturday. She won the 200 IM in 2:16.60 as well as the 100 Breaststroke in 1:10.53 and finished in second place in the 500 Freestyle in 5:31.85. Harty's current conference ranks include the following: 100 Freestyle (19th), 200 Freestyle (4th), 500 Freestyle (2nd), 100 Breaststroke (2nd), 200 Breaststroke (2nd), 100 Butterfly (22nd), 200 IM (1st), and the 400 IM (5th). She ranks in the top 50 nationally among NCAA Division II swimmers in the 200 Breaststroke and the 500 Freestyle.
Mars Hill hosts Emory and Henry and King in a tri-meet on Saturday, January 31 at 3 p.m.
