Boland Named ASC Women's Swimmer of the Week

MARS HILL, N.C. – Sophomore Kathryn Boland has been named the Appalachian Swimming Conference female swimmer of the week as announced by the league on Monday, October 3.

Boland took home four first-place finishes as the Lions opened up their season with a win against Appalachian Swimming Conference foes, King University. Boland started the day by swimming Butterfly on the winning 200 Medley Relay (1:55.19). In her individual events, Boland would win the 100 IM in 1:02.63, the 100 Breaststroke in 1:10.52, and the 200 IM in 2:13.63.

The Lions will return to the pool on Friday, October 21 as they host Lenoir-Rhyne University. The meet is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.
