Harty Named ASC Swimmer of the Week

MARS HILL, N.C. – Abby Harty of the Mars Hill women's swim team has been named Appalachian Swim Conference Female Swimmer of the Week as announced by the league today. This is her first plaudit of the season.

Harty, a junior from Johns Creek, Ga., turned in a stellar performance during a dual meet against Union College and Urbana University on Saturday, October 29. Harty earned the nod after collecting four wins on the afternoon. Abby won the 1650 with a time of 18:39.14, 200 free in 2:02.67, 500 free in 5:25.21 and the Breast leg of the 400-medley relay with a 1:13.40 split.

Harty and the women's swim team will return to action on Friday, November 4, traveling to Milligan, Tenn. to take on Milligan College.
