Women's Swimming Victorious on Senior Day

MARS HILL, N.C. – The Lions’ women’s swimming team defeated Milligan and Warren Wilson in a double-dual meet Saturday afternoon at Harrell Pool on Senior Day.

MARS HILL, N.C. – The Lions' women's swimming team defeated Milligan and Warren Wilson in a double-dual meet Saturday afternoon at Harrell Pool on Senior Day. The Lions beat Milligan 150-44 and beat Warren Wilson, 159-23. Mars Hill improved to 8-1 on the season. Prior to the meet, Mars Hill recognized their two senior swimmers, Madison Durham and Marissa Hall.

Event winners during the women's meets included Rachel Nichols who won the 50 free, 100 free, 100 fly and was part of the medley relay. Kathryn Boland won the 100 breast, 200 breast, 200 individual medley and was part of the medley relay. Abby Harty won the 200 free, 500 free and was part of the medley relay win. Salliemae Blethroad won the 200 back and was part of the medley relay team win. Kathryn Southard won the 200 fly and was on the free relay team win. Other members of the winning free relay team were Jessica Minton, Mara Trowbridge and Natalie Quintero.

Mars Hill will return to action on January 28, when they host St. Andrews and UNC Pembroke in a double dual at Harrell Pool. The action is set to begin at 1 p.m
