Women's Swimming In Second After Day One of ASC Championships
CHRISTIANSBURG, VA. – The Mars Hill women’s swimming team is in second place after day one of the Appalachian Swim Conference Championships.

CHRISTIANSBURG, VA. – The Mars Hill women's swimming team is in second place after day one of the Appalachian Swim Conference Championships. The Lions, who recorded 61 points on the day, trail Emmanuel College by 11 points.
Abby Harty once again paced the Blue and Gold as she set a new school record in the 1000 free with an impeccable time of 10:35.72. Lorna Doorman (11:20.73) and Mara Trowbridge (11:58.46) collected seventh and 13th places, respectively.
Kathryn Boland and Natalia Rodriguez teamed up with Doorman and Harty to tally a fifth-place finish in the 800 free relay.
The Lions will continue their quest for a conference championship as they hit the pool for day two tomorrow morning.
