The Mars Hill women’s swim team set a school record in the 400 yard medley relay on day two of the Bluegrass Mountain Championships.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Mars Hill women's swim team set a school record in the 400 yard medley relay on day two of the Bluegrass Mountain Championships.

The group, consisting of Haley Horton, Kathryn Boland, Rachel Nichols and Abby Harty placed sixth overall in the race, posting a time of 4:01.12.

Harty, swimming 5:12.35 in the 500 yard freestyle, placed 11th overall. Boland placed 15th in the 200 yard IM with a time of 2:08.59.

A solid second day of action bumps the Lions up from seventh to sixth place in the Bluegrass Mountain Division with 89 points. They sit above Lenoir-Rhyne by two points.

Day three action kicks off Friday morning with the championships ending on Saturday afternoon.
