CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Haley Horton set several school records in her preliminary swims on Friday at day three of the Bluegrass Mountain Conference Championships.

Horton posted a prelim time of 58.41 in the 100 yard butterfly and 59.44 in the 100 yard backstroke. Her times slightly increased in the finals, claiming a 10 and 14th place finish in those respective events.

Abby Harty swam 1:56.56 in the 200 yard freestyle, finishing 14th overall.

The quartet of Horton, Rachel Nichols, Savannah Maddox and Natalia Rodriguez finished seventh in the 200 yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:42.19.

Mars Hill sits in seventh heading into the final day of the championships with 130 points, trailing Lenoir-Rhyne by 10 points for sixth.
