Lions swim to seventh place finish at BMC Championships

The Mars Hill women's swim team placed seventh at the end of the Bluegrass Mountain Conference Championships on Saturday afternoon with 173 points.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Mars Hill women's swim team placed seventh at the end of the Bluegrass Mountain Conference Championships on Saturday afternoon with 173 points.

Lorna Doorman and Mara Trowbridge placed 10th and 11th, respectively, in the 1650 yard freestyle, swimming times of 18:59.19 and 20:12.04.

In the 100 yard freestyle, Haley Horton finished 7th in the D-Final, 15th overall with a time of 54.70. 

Horton, along with Rachel Nichols, Savannah Maddox and Abby Harty took fifth in the 400 yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:38.11.
