Women's Tennis Calms Tornado

BRISTOL, TENN. - The Mars Hill women's tennis team picked up a 7-2 victory over King on Tuesday afternoon at the King Tennis Courts. Mars Hill improves to 3-4 on the season, while King drops to 4-5.

Tatiana Dualiby, Lucy McLauren and Jade Henke won both of their matches. Dualiby and McLauren teamed up to win number one doubles with an 8-3 victory over Ashley Salazar and Katya Cerny. Dualiby also won number one singles, defeating Cerny by a pair of 6-3 scores. McLauren defeated Mariana Hosomi 6-2, 6-3 in number three singles. Henke and Grace Diepenbrock won number three doubles 8-4 over Alyssa Salazar and Haley Maloney. Henke earned her second victory of the afternoon over Alyssa Salazar in number four singles, winning 6-3, 6-4.

Anna Rickenbaker won number two singles 6-4, 4-6, 10-7 over Naomi Reyes. Natalie Hilbig won number five singles 6-2, 6-2 over Claudia Morris.

Mars Hill hits the road this weekend for a weekend conference doubleheader, visiting Anderson on Saturday and Lenoir-Rhyne on Sunday.
