Women's Tennis Shuts Out Coker

HARTSVILLE, S.C. - The Mars Hill women's tennis team earned their fourth South Atlantic Conference victory of the season on Friday afternoon, shutting out Coker 9-0. Mars Hill improves to 6-7 overall and 4-3 in conference play.
Mars Hill swept doubles play with the top pairing of Tatiana Dualiby and Lucy McLaurin winning 8-3 over Jessi Campos and Sarah Elliot. Anna Rickenbaker and Jade Henke defeated Kyria Borelli and Faith Baxley 8-2, with Natalie Hilbig and Dafna Porat blanking Rachel Solomon and Adri Watford 8-0.
Dualiby improved to 11-2 in number one singles with a 6-1, 6-0 win over Campos. McLaurin defeted Elliot 6-3, 6-0 in number two singles, with Rickenbaker a 6-0, 6-2 winner over Borelli. Henke needed three sets to defeat Baxley, dropping the first set 4-6 before rallying for a 6-2, 10-8 win. Hilbig won 6-1, 6-0 over Soloman in number five singles, with Porat completing the shutout with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Watford.
Mars Hill returns to Hart Tennis Complex on Monday, hosting Wingate at 1 p.m.
