Newberry Outlasts Women's Tennis

MARS HILL, N.C. - The Mars Hill women's tennis team lost 6-3 to Newberry on Saturday at the Hart Tennis Complex. Mars Hill drops to 7-9 overall and 5-5 in the South Atlantic Conference.

Reigning SAC Player of the Week Tatiana Dualiby won both of her matches, defeating Susana Aguirre 6-2, 7-5 in number one singles and teaming with Lucy McLaurin to defeat Aguirre and Romina Adum 8-4 in number one doubles.

Jade Henke picked up a three-set victory at the fourth singles flight, defeating Tara Lamers 4-6, 6-1, 7-5. The Lions lost in number two and number three singles in three sets, with Adum defeating McLaurin 6-3, 6-7, 7-5 in the second flight and Vanessa Ortiz rallying to defeat Anna Rickenbaker 3-6, 6-4, 6-4.

Mars Hill hosts North Greenville on Tuesday in the final non-conference match of the season.
