Viscusi Sets School Record in 3,000 Meter Steeplechase
Jessica Viscusi set a new school record in the 3,000 meter steeplechase at the Tennessee Relays while five student-athletes finished with personal bests at the Catamount Classic.
MARS HILL, N.C.- Jessica Viscusi set a new school record in the 3,000 meter steeplechase at the Tennessee Relays presented by Sea Ray while five student-athletes finished with personal bests at the Beynon Sports Catamount Classic.
Viscusi finished in 10th place with a new record time of 11:12.53 Megan Smith also competed in the 3,000 meter steeplechase at the Tennessee Relays and finished with a new personal best time of 12:07.09.
At the Catamount Classic, Toccara Jefferies (26.98), Alauna Reckley (26.98), Kendra Henry (27.11) and Shaquavia Harper (29.16) each finished with personal bests in the 200 meter dash. Sara Stephenson recorded a personal best 5:57.42 in the 1500 meter run.
Alexis Montgomery finished in third place in the 200 meter dash (24.65). Savannah Hulbert finished in ninth place in the 100 meter hurdles (15.55). As a team, the Lions finished in 12th place at the Catamount Classic.
Mars Hill will compete in the South Atlantic Conference championship on Friday and Saturday.
