Robinson Leads Women's Track at App State

BOONE, N.C. - Senior Shelby Robinson destroyed her old personal best in the 3000 meter run en route to an event win on Friday, February 19 at the Appalachian Indoor Open Split Track Meet. Robinson was able to win the race by an amazing 43 seconds over second-place and Division I USC-Upstate runner Leah Jostes.

Dana Thompson joined Robinson as a top performer on the afternoon as she was able to break the school record in the Weight Throw, dropping an impressive 41 feet 6 inches.

Leann Farr collected a fifth place finsih in the Shot Put with a launch of 32 feet and 9 1/2 inches. Savannah Hulbert finished fifth in the 55 Meter Hurdles, collecting a finals time of 8.67, only .20 seconds off of first place.

The Lions will return to action on Saturday, March 5 as they travel to Berry to compete.
