Members of the Mars Hill women's track and field team participated in the Mountaineer Open Track Meet this weekend, held at Appalachian State University.

BOONE, N.C. - Members of the Mars Hill women's track and field team participated in the Mountaineer Open Track Meet this weekend, held at Appalachian State University.

Shahnika Williams placed sixth in the long jump, posting a mark of 5.35m (17'6.75"). 

In the 400 meter dash, Christine Foresha and Arriel Smith posted top-five finishes. Foresha, with a time of 1:00.62 finished fourth, followed by Smith's fifth place finish, running a time of 1:01.64.

Foresha also earned a top-10 finish in the 200 meter dash, placing ninth with a time of 26.08.
