Lions run in Appalachian Open

BOONE, N.C. - The Mars Hill women's indoor track and field team took part in the Appalachian Open Saturday afternoon.

Kylee Peck placed fifth in the high jump, recording a height of 1.52 meters.  

Sydney Britt placed fifth in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:40.00 while Maria Yarussi turned in a time of 45.79 to place 12th in the 300 meter dash.  

In the shot put, Emily Kraft placed 19th with a mark of 8.36 meters while DeAnna Clark placed 21st and Ariahn Glass finished 23rd.
