Lions dominate UVA Wise in SAC Mountain Division clash

MARS HILL, N.C. - The Mars Hill volleyball team (16-7, 11-4 SAC) rolled UVA Wise (5-16, 1-14 SAC) in three sets (25-11, 25-11, 25-16) Friday night inside Chambers Gymnasium.
The Lions held UVA Wise to a negative hitting percentage in all three sets and outhit the Cavaliers .364 to -.037 on the night. Mars Hill hit a match-best .423 in the second set.
Sarah Goddard led the Lions with 13 kills and hit .407 while Jana Cuk led all players by hitting .533 and adding nine kills. Jordan Schmucker led all players with 23 kills while Laela Jimenez led all players with 11 digs.
Mars Hill hosts Emory & Henry on Senior Day, held on Saturday, October 29 at 2 p.m.
