Feeney notches personal best at Furman Invitational
Nyla Feeney once again led the Mars Hill Lions' women's cross country team at the Furman Invitational Saturday morning. Feeney set a personal best in the 6K race.

GREENVILLE, S.C. - Nyla Feeney once again led the Mars Hill Lions' women's cross country team at the Furman Invitational Saturday morning. Feeney set a personal best in the 6K race.
The sophomore ran a time of 25:21.14 and continued her stellar start to the 2017-18 season. The time is one minute and twenty seconds better than her previous mark. Sydney Britt was the second best runner for the Lions, turning in a time of 26:59.56. She was closely followed by teammate Rachel Strickland's 27:43.09 time.
The women's cross country team will head to Wingate, North Carolina on Saturday, September 23 to take part in the Wingate Pre-Region Meet. The race is scheduled to start at 9:30 a.m.
