Lions place 5th at Converse Kick Off

The Mars Hill women's cross country team placed fifth at the Converse Kick Off to open the 2019 season.

SPARTANBURG, S.C. - The Mars Hill women's cross country team placed fifth at the Converse Kick Off to open the 2019 season.

In her Mars Hill debut, Haley Beaumont placed eighth overall with a time of 20:27.31.  Nyla Feeney finished with a time of 21:35.95 for a 17th place finish in the 5k race.

Sydney Britt turned in a time of 22:59.66 to place 32nd while Kylee Peck finished with a time of 23:26.95.

The Lions averaged a time of 22:26.94 between their seven runners.

Mars Hill next runs in the Winthrop Invitational on Saturday, September 14th.  The race is slated for an 8:30 a.m. start.
