Lions finish eighth at SAC Championships

The Mars Hill women's cross country team finished eighth overall at the 2019 South Atlantic Conference Cross Country held Saturday morning.

WINGATE, N.C. - The Mars Hill women's cross country team finished eighth overall at the 2019 South Atlantic Conference Cross Country held Saturday morning.

Haley Gallup was the top placing Lions, turning in a 25th place finish.  Gallup ran the race in 23:48.2.  Nyla Feeney placed 48th overall with a time of 25:43.3.

Placing 58th overall, Sydney Britt ran the race in 26:48.6 followed by Kylee Peck's 67th place, turning in a time of 27:51.6.  Megan Van Etten finished 70th overall with a time of 28:20.8

The Lions turned in a total time of 2:12:33 with an average of 26:31 per racer.
