Bio

Caleb Strother entered the MHU athletic department on August 1, 2014, as an associate athletic trainer.

After becoming an NATA member in 2009, Caleb has worked steadily at refining his skills as an athletic trainer. Caleb has attended multiple meetings and symposiums at the state, district, and national levels to expand his knowledge in the profession of athletic training. He was a part of the athletic training staff at MHU that won the NATA “Above and Beyond Award” in 2016. Caleb served as athletic trainer for the national champion MHU Cycling Team in 2014-2015. Caleb has also served the men’s basketball team and men’s lacrosse team as athletic trainer for the past 5 years.

Caleb graduated from Barton College in May 2012 with Bachelor of Science degrees in athletic training and fitness management and became board certified by the Board of Certification in athletic training in June 2012. He completed his Master of Arts in physical education with a concentration in exercise science and sport administration from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke in May 2014 while also serving as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for the football, baseball, and spirit teams.

A native of Wilson, North Carolina, he currently resides in Mars Hill, NC.
