Randolph voted D2Football National Player of Week
MARS HILL, N.C. - Mars Hill tailback Jonas Randolph has been named the D2Football.com National Offensive Co-Player of the Week. He shares the honor with David Carter, a running back from Morehouse.
Randolph put up the most rushing yards in a game by a Division II player this season with 373 yards in the Lions' victory over Tusculum. Randolph carried the ball an amazing 49 times, also the most by a Division II player this season. Randolph leads Division II in rushing yards this season and now stands second all-time in the SAC for career rushing yards. He is just the second SAC running back to rush for more than 5,000 yards in a career.
Taylor Selby, a linebacker from Concordia-St. Paul, was named the Defensive Player of the Week, while Puma Nuredini, a punter from Charleston, was named Special Teams Player of the Week.
