Former football player Harris signs with Storm
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The Sioux Falls Storm is excited to announce that defensive end/linebacker Maurice Harris will make his indoor football debut with the Storm.
In his senior season (2010) at Mars Hill, Harris was named Honorable Mention All-American by D2Football.com, to the Don Hansen NCAA Division II All-America second team, 2010 Associated Press Little All-America Football third team, Daktronics All-America second team, and Daktronics All-Southeast Region and All-South Atlantic Conference first teams. He led the South Atlantic Conference in 2010 with 11 sacks.
Harris will join a defense that gave up only 32.6 points per game on average last season (second best in the league), and sacked the opposing team 29.5 times in the regular season.
"Our defensive front was the deciding factor during our 2011 championship run," said Todd Tryon. "With our new additions, we should be well equipped to defend our title."
