Football’s Randolph named All-American by CDFL
MARS HILL, N.C. - Mars Hill running back Jonas Randolph has been selected as a 2011 Preseason Football All-American by the Collegiate Development Football League (CDFL) and the D2vsNAIA Senior Bowl selection committee. The "D2vsNAIA Senior Bowl" is a post season all-star game showcasing the talent of senior players from the NCAA D2 Division and the NAIA football levels. This Bowl game is presented by the Collegiate Development Football League and will be held December 3, 2011 in the New York City metro area.
Player selections for this showcase game begin with the announcement of our "D2vsNAIA Senior Bowl "All-American team. This team recognizes the football achievements of senior players who are entering their final season on the D2 and NAIA levels. The" D2vsNAIA Senior Bowl" selection committee will review player performance throughout the 2011 season and will invite 40 players per level in a challenge game format between these two levels. Bowl co-founder, Peter St. Lawrence, stated during his August 15, 2011 press conference," We are proud to present the inaugural, D2vsNAIA Bowl. This is one of our three post season scout bowl games which serve to promote and showcase the exceptional talent found on the collegiate level beyond the BCS."
Peter St. Lawrence added, "The," D2vsNAIA Senior Bowl" is a game for senior players to be recognized for their career achievements and gain exposure to professional scouts. The announcement today of our D2 and NAIA Preseason All-American teams, reflects our continued commitment to the players in the small college arena, The "D2vsNAIA Senior Bowl" selection committee will work diligently over the next few months, to invite the most talented and deserving players from the graduating class of 2012".
The D2vsNAIA Senior Bowl player invitations begin in September and conclude with a November 15 commitment deadline.
