Taylor Named AstroTurf SAC Co-Offensive Player of the Week
Keshaun Taylor was named AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. - Mars Hill sophomore wide receiver Keshaun Taylor was named AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday. The weekly honor is the first for Taylor in his career and is shared with Catawba running back Cary Littlejohn.
Taylor set a new school record with four touchdown receptions in Mars Hill's 44-34 loss at NCAA FCS foe Chattanooga on Saturday. Taylor made nine catches for 157 yards, including a career-best 75 yard touchdown catch in the second quarter. His other touchdown receptions were for 13 yards, 29 yards and 35 yards.
In two games, Taylor has caught 18 passes for 238 yards and five touchdowns.
Mars Hill welcomes Limestone to Meares Stadium and Ammons Family Athletic Center on Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
