Taylor named SAC Offensive Player of the Week
Keshaun Taylor was named Offensive Player of the Week by the South Atlantic Conference Monday morning. Taylor had a hand in 21 of the Lions' 43 points in their 43-28 victory over Lenoir-Rhyne Saturday afternoon.
ROCK HILL, S.C. - Keshaun Taylor was named Offensive Player of the Week by the South Atlantic Conference Monday morning. Taylor had a hand in 21 of the Lions' 43 points in their 43-28 victory over Lenoir-Rhyne Saturday afternoon.
Taylor, a senior from Homestead, Fla., had one passing, receiving and rushing touchdown for a total of 185 yards on the afternoon. He began his scoring with a 70-yard touchdown reception thrown by Week 1's Offensive Player of the Week, David Salmon. Following his first touchdown, Taylor struck again with a 48-yard run in the third quarter.
Closing out his afternoon, he found Craig Rucker for a 44-yard pass to have the Lions' pull away with the contest.
Taylor finished the game with three catches and led the Lions to the victory in their home opener.
The honor is his first Offensive Player of the Week selection of the 2017 campaign.
