Lions Place Seventh at Anderson U Invitational
ANDERSON, S.C.-- The Mars Hill men's golf team finished seventh at the Anderson University Invitational, which concluded Tuesday.
The Lions shot 36-over par to finish with a score of 604 in the nine-team tournament. Dylan Payne turned in Mars Hill's best score, shooting a two-over 144. That score placed Payne in a tie for fifth place. Individual champion Howard Schindler paced Flagler to the team championship, shooting seven-under par in the two-day tournament. As a team, Flagler finished seven-under par.
Chase Dembisky turned in a strong performance in his first collegiate outing. Dembisky shot a one-under par 70 on Monday, and finished the tournament with a ten-over 152 overall.
Seth Sayler finished one stroke behind Dembisky with an 11-over 153. Lucas Harper and Mason Light rounded out the Lions performers, shooting 16-over and 18-over respectively.
Mars Hill will compete in the Tusculum Fall Invite, which begins Sept. 23.
