Lions Place Fourth at Echo Farms Intercollegiate
WILMINGTON, N.C.-- Mars Hill's top group of men's golfers placed fourth at the Echo Farms Intercollegiate, which concluded Sunday.
The Lions top team carded a score of 655, 79-over par. The team was made up of Tyler Grooms, Lucas Harper, Charles Hartzog, Chase Dembisky and Nick Caruso. Grooms finished in a tie for tenth overall with a two-day score of 159 (15+). Ohio Dominican placed first with a score of 619 (43+). Connor Stookey of Ohio Dominican and Kyle Shuffler of Cape Fear CC tied atop the individual leaderboard with a score of 152 (8+).
The Mars Hill "B" Group placed seventh overall. Seth Sayler headlined the group with the best performance by a Lion at the tournament. Sayler shot a 153 (9+) to finish third overall, including a career-low 74 in the second round. The rest of the Lions "B" Group consisted of Mason Light, Chris Cudmore and Ken Dixon.

Paine College withdrew from the event in the second round. Their first round score doesn't impact the final standings as shown in the team results.
Mars Hill will compete in the Tusculum College Spring Invite in Greeneville, Tenn., which begins Friday, Mar. 8 and runs through Sunday, Mar. 10.
