Lions Lead Round One of King Invitational

BRISTOL, VA.-- Paced by a pair of freshmen, Mars Hill's men's golf team is in first place after round one of the King Invitational, which was held Monday at the Country Club of Bristol.
Adam Lumley fired a first round 66 to pace the Lions. His score puts him four-under par and atop the individual leaderboard in the tournament. Fellow freshman Juan Santos is tied for second after carding a 67 in the opening round. Overall, Lion golfers shot an even-par on the day with a score of 280. Erskine College is in second-place with a score of 286.

Chase Dembisky finished with a two-over 72 to tie for seventh. Rounding out Mars Hill's top five is Cole Swezey and James Holley.
The King Invitational wraps up tomorrow with second-round play.
