Lions in Eighth after First Round at Myrtle Beach
SUNSET BEACH, N.C.-- Mars Hill's men's golf team is tied for eighth place after the first round of the Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate, held Monday at Sea Trails Golf Club.
SUNSET BEACH, N.C.-- Mars Hill's men's golf team is tied for eighth place after the first round of the Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate, held Monday at Sea Trails Golf Club.
Lion golfers shot a 295 to finish seven-over par on the day. Leading the way was Chase Dembisky with a two-under 70. Dembisky is tied for eighth overall. Mount Olive, Wingate, Coker and Emmanuel College are in a four-way tie for first-place with a score of 285. Dillon Bowers of Emmanuel sits atop the individual leaderboard after shooting a five-under 67.

Adam Lumley finished second among Lion golfers, shooting a 73. Juan Santos finished one stroke behind. Cole Swezey and James Holley rounded out Mars Hill's scores on the day.
Mars Hill is tied for eighth with Walters State CC. The fifth-through-13th place teams are seperated by just nine strokes. MHU is fourth among seven SAC teams competing in the tournament.
