Reigning South Atlantic Conference Freshman of the Year Adam Lumley fired a two-over-par 74 to lead the Lions in the opening round of the Walters State Fall Classic
MORRISTOWN, TENN.- Reigning South Atlantic Conference Freshman of the Year Adam Lumley fired a two-over-par 74 to lead the Lions in the opening round of the Walters State Fall Classic at Morristown Country Club.
Lumley finished one shot better than Chevy Hartzog's three-over-par 75. Nick Caruso finished with an opening round 80, followed by an 81 from Antonio Douat. Dalton Thompson finished with an 85 to complete Mars Hill's 310 team score.
The Lions sit in sixth place, two shots behind Rend Lake College and three shots behind South Atlantic Conference foe Brevard. Tusculum sits in first place after the first day; the tournament will wrap up tomorrow.
