Lumley Leads Lions in Opening Round of Tusculum Invitational
Adam Lumley shot an even-par 71 to lead the Mars Hill men’s golf team in the opening round of the Tusculum Invitational.
GREENEVILLE, TENN.- Adam Lumley shot an even-par 71 to lead the Mars Hill men's golf team in the opening round of the Tusculum Invitational. The tournament is being held at the par-71, 6733-yard Link Hills Country Club.
Lumley sits in a tie for eighth place after the opening round. Levi Grogan fired a one-over-par 71 to lead the Mars Hill "B" team and is in a tie for 11th overall. Antonio Douat finished with a 74, followed by Chevy Hartzog (75), Filip Andersson (78) and Luke Grogan (80) on the "A" team. For the "B" team, Ken Dixon finished with a 76, followed by Nick Caruso with a 77 and Dalton Thompson with an opening round 80.
The Mars Hill "A" team is tied for eighth place, while the "B" team is tied for 10th. Young Harris leads by nine strokes over Lincoln Memorial; Clark Melton shot a six-under-par 65 to lead the Mountain Lions.
The final round of the tournament is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. Sunday.
