Men's Golf is Runner-up at Hargett Memorial Intercollegiate

MONROE, N.C.- The Mars Hill men's golf team finished in second place with freshman Filip Andersson finishing in a tie for third place at the J. Ralph Hargett Memorial Intercollegiate at the Monroe Country Club. Mars Hill finished with a team score of 887, two strokes behind tournament champion Tusculum's 885.
Andersson earned a spot on the all-tournament team after finishing with a 54-hole score of 218. Andersson fired a 73 in Tuesday's final round. Chevy Hartzog led the Lions with a 72 as he finished in a tie for eighth with a score of 220. Adam Lumley shot a 74 to finish in a tie for 16th with a 227. Other Mars Hill third round scores were a 75 for Levi Grogan and an 82 for Ken Dixon.
King University's Leennawat Numpituckc was the individual winner with a 212. Numpituckc finished the tournament with a 71, 70 and 71.
Mars Hill will return to play at the Brevard Intercollegiate on Saturday, April 4.
