Lumley Leads After Opening Round of Anderson Invitational
Adam Lumley shot a two-under-par 70 to lead after the first round of the Anderson Invitational on Monday
ANDERSON, S.C. - Junior Adam Lumley is the overall leader following the opening round of the Anderson Invitational on Monday. The tournament is being held at the par-72, 7,005-yard Cobbs Glen Country Club.
Lumley was the only player to finish below par as he shot a two-below-par 70 to lead by two strokes. Filip Andersson sits in a tie for 16th after an opening round 77. Antonio Douat and Alejandro Canizares are part of a six player tie for 22nd after an opening round 78. Nick Caruso finished his first round of the 2015-16 campaign with an 84.
The Lions are in second place with a team score of 303, trailing Erskine College's "C" team by two strokes. Anderson, Lenoir-Rhyne and Erskine "B" are tied for third with a 305. Eleven teams are participating in this year's tournament.
The final round is scheduled to take place on Tuesday.
