Lumley Shoots 77 During Round Two Action

MUSCLE SHOALS, ALA. – Mars Hill men's golfer Adam Lumley finished up round two of the 2017 NCAA Southeast Regional in a tie for 36th after shooting a 77 (+5) during the second-18. Chandler Blanchet of West Florida leads the individual leaderboard, posting 10-under during the opening two rounds.
Starting on the back nine during day two, Lumley collected three consecutive pars before running into a bit of trouble on the par-3, 13th, taking a double-bogey from the hole. Lumley finished the back nine with four more pars, but a bogey on 16 sent him into the clubhouse with a +3, 39. The front nine was uneventful for Lumley as he posted eight pars through nine holes, the only non-par being his second double-bogey of the afternoon coming on the par-4, third, leading to his second round 77.
Lumley will begin the third and final round tomorrow morning at 8:20. Teeing off with him will be Harry Lambert of Georgia College and Daniel Graves of Coker College.
